Hide your IP = surf anonymously!
Insider tip: Only use trustworthy VPN service providers! You can find an overview of reputable providers here.
How a VPN works
When you visit a website, your computer sends data to the web server. These data include your IP address, which can be used to determine your identity. The VPN first establishes a connection to the VPN server, which then connects to the destination address. Thus, the data is no longer transmitted directly from your PC to the web server but will be redirected through the VPN server. The operator of the destination website only sees the IP address of the VPN server. Third parties can no longer determine your identity.
Clever: VPNs also encrypt your internet connection. This protects you when using a public Wi-Fi.
Who is the best VPN provider?
The VPN market is growing fast and so is the number of options. This makes it difficult to find the right VPN provider.
